Randy Ziegenhagen and Allison Lavine started ZiegenVine Homestead in mid-summer 2014 and forming ZiegenVine Homestead, LLC. in March 2017.

During the Spring of 2017 we started welcoming the public for Goat Yoga on the Homestead.   In 2018 we started offering farmstays through HipCamp. Conveniently located a short drive from Corning, NY and part of Finger Lakes Farm Country we continue to offer unique experiences to visitors to Finger Lakes Wine Country region

We started "farming" in 2010 with a few hens for fresh eggs just for us.  We talked about adding pigs to our 2.5 acres in Chemung County, NY. After we found the town zoning laws wouldn't allow us to have any other types of farm animals we began looking for land.  We were so very lucky to have found the farm we now call home!

When we moved to the farm in the summer of 2014, we had to do a lot of clearing as the farm hadn't been used for farming in over 10 years.   It has a large barn with great bones that we are hoping to restore it to its full glory and possibly use it for future events.

Early Spring of 2015 we expanded our flock of laying hens.  We also purchased some Cornish Cross Chicks and 3 pigs to raise for freezer camp.  In 2016 we hatched some eggs to grow our flock of laying hens a little more, bought more pigs and a boar for breeding.

We also added 3 adorable Nubian-Boar cross goats to the farm, Cora, Millie and Macey!  "The Girls", as Allison often refers to them.   Our herd is very friendly, loves attention and they enjoy yoga with the humans!  Yoga with goats is a great way to connect with nature.

We have partnered with yoga instructors from the Southern Tier to bring you Goat Yoga on the Homestead- Barbara Nicholson and Elizabeth Moses.

When you visit the farm don't forget to ask about our Goat Milk Soap.
